About James Taylor

Dr. James Taylor is currently a practicing anesthesiologist. After earning a degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Medical School.

James moved 10 times during his childhood, allowing him to develop the art of making new friends quickly, as well as adapt to ever-changing environments. This skill set enables him to establish relationships with his patients based on a personal trust in a very short time, a trait necessary for an effective physician. James is also known for his calmness under pressure and ability to make tough decisions in stressful situations. These same talents will aid him as he represents us in Washington, D.C.

Over the last ten years as a practicing anesthesiologist, James has formed three corporations in his field. These corporations currently include the management of anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and a pain management practice. His success in these businesses has largely been due to the environment of transparency and fairness that he creates for his coworkers.

Personal responsibility is a conservative value that James applies to his daily life. As government continues to grow and relieves individuals and corporations of their responsibilities, minimizing the consequences they face, he feels a moral hazard is created that encourages further risky behavior and bad decisions.

Over the past few years, James has taken an interest in politics. His interest in politics was first stimulated when he realized how our current monetary system functions. The more he learned about the Federal Reserve bank, the monetization of debt, inflation, and fiat money, the better he understood who benefits from the system, and equally importantly, who does not. As he examined each new area of politics, from health care, the economy, and property rights, to personal freedom, our 2nd Amendment rights, and foreign policy, it became quite clear to James that America had changed from the government serving the people, to the people serving the government.

During the 2008 election cycle, James was elected to represent District 6 as a delegate to the Republican National Convention. This experience allowed him the opportunity to participate inside the Republican Party and in our election process in a way that few have had the chance. The friendships and insights into the party gained during that week have made an everlasting impression upon him. Furthermore, James believes the Constitution is a special document given to us by the founders. Its tenets must be discussed and utilized to examine legislation that is presented to the House of Representatives. Our elected officials must take their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution seriously, or be voted out immediately. There is no doubt that during his term, our district will be governed in a manner that is OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND FOR THE PEOPLE.
